Making the most of your weekly shopping!

Being on your beauty A game all the time can get expensive! So the next time a zit rears its ugly head or your pearly whites seem, well, not so pearly after a few too many glasses of red wine, skip the emergency trip to the drugstoreand fix that beauty sitch with a quick kitchen raid! Scroll down for seven common beauty-related complaints—and the pantry-sourced products than can help solve them.

1. Large Pores

The bad news? Your pore size is your pore size, and there's not much you can do to permanently change that. The good news? A quick swipe with an ice cube before you apply your primer will help shrink pores and keep makeup from getting clogged inside.

2. Stained Teeth

Those at-home teeth whitening kits often work—but can be seriously pricey! Keep your smile sparkling with a quickbaking soda and vinegar scrub instead—it bleaches teeth while removing stains.

3. Whiteheads

When a pimple pops up unexpectedly, treat it fast with a cinnamon and honey spot treatment. Mix powdered cinnamon with a drop of honey until it becomes a paste, then dab it onto your pimple and let it sit overnight. The honey moisturizes while killing the microbes that cause acne, while the cinnamon also banishes bacteria.

4. Dark Circles

There are about 1,000 factors that could be contributing to your under-eye bags, but thankfully two green tea bags can mask them! Soak the tea bags in water, then place them in the fridge and let them cool. Once chilled, place a tea bag over each eye and let sit for 15 minutes. Tea has an astringent property that constricts the blood vessels and capillaries under the eyes, helping reduce dark circles.

5. Blackheads

Pretty much everyone's plagued by blackheads at one point or another (and if you haven't, I hate you). Thankfully, a quick fix for those bad boys is hiding right in your fridge. Squeeze a bit oflemon juice onto a cotton ball and swipe all over your face. Lemons contain citric acid, which helps remove dead skin cells and treats those unsightly blemishes.

6. Burns

Curling iron get your neck again? There's a food-related fix for that. Apply raw honey topically to your burn, and cover with gauze or a Band-Aid. It will gently and naturally soothe that scorched skin.\

7. Cellulite

Cellulite is the worst—but unless you're willing to give up cheese, there's little you can do to prevent it in the first place. But you can use old coffee grounds to minimize its appearance! Mix coffee grounds with coconut oil and rub the mixture all over your thighs and backside. (It's messy, so do it in the shower while the water is turned off!) The caffeine and antioxidants in the coffee stimulate your blood vessels, which temporarily tightens and helps smooth out the bumpy look of cellulite.
